Shock Slayer finished up a meet-up video from last week and posted it up last night! It’s pretty cool but really just shows a glimpse of what happened over the weekend, but it’s still pretty cool. I really wish we took more pics and video, but the coolest part of this video is a time lapse he did of me doing some recessed cuts with my CNC for his N64 project. That starts at 5:44 on the video time line so skip ahead if you’re in a hurry (and don’t want to get sea sick).

MBB & MR @ Downing’s Basement Comes to a Close

I’ve never found it difficult to convey exactly how an experience has affected me before. It’s almost always the same key elements that are quite easy to describe in a manner of just a few words. The events of the last few days however have left me in awe and really have opened my eyes to the potential that so many like minds have to offer. So much that I can’t describe exactly what I got out of it other than I have been enlightened to a variety of new experiences that were just plain awesome!
On top of that, the bonds that have been made with just a few days of real life contact are one of the most valuable experiences to leave with and I think we’re all going to be holding on to that for a very long time now and I can’t wait to see where this leads us all in the future!
So, over the next few days, I’ll be making some posts of the accomplishments that were made while we were all together. We’ll all be posting either finished or in-progress threads on the forums and I’ll be doing a short write-up of each one after they get posted on their respective sites.
Some new big things coming up soon as well, including a glimpse of my secret project that I’ve been working on for over 8 months now! Stay tuned for some exciting news shortly!

Next to arrive will be Hailraizer! He’s expected to hit traffic right about now but he’ll be here probably around 8PM or so! More updates to follow!
So at about 10AM EST, the first of the guest arrived to the Manchester Airport.
Jonathan Shine, from Hollywood California, with the longest trip made it here faster than anyone else! We’ve been going through the orientation of the basement and just talking a lot of shop. Pretty cool though to see that this is actually happening and the next 4 days are going to be amazing! Next to show up is Ashen, probably getting here around 3 or 4PM this afternoon and then Hailraizer who’ll be showing up around 8 or 9pm.
SS, Beta and Aux will be here probably around 1AM Friday morning as they can’t start the trip until Aux get’s out of work.
But anyway, I’m gonna try and update here a bit more frequently this week so you all can see what’s happening! Should be a great time! Say tuned!
Well, this is what happens when “uber geek” meets “actor uber geek”. When I said to these two it was time to make a promotional video for the event I’m sure I should have known something like this was to be the end product! Though I have to admit that I am still laughing from this, you always have to wonder what this kind of events will transpire based upon it! I guess we’ll see soon enough though and I am again very excited for this.
By the request of a few of the Modders that will be attending the meet-up next week, I did up a quick (and shaky) video of my workshop, giving them an idea of what to expect when they get here. In an antique home like mine, the basement isn’t exactly quality like the more modern basements in the state are. This in turn leads to compromises which in this case is a height restriction. I have a very low ceiling and from what I gather, most of the people coming to visit are a good 4 to 6 inches taller than I am! Haha, this should be funny! Just about a week away though and the excitement keeps growing! More news as it happens!
