Though this is not my project, the pure concept and the fact it was pulled off so beautifully is worth showing off! [Bungle] did an awesome job here and I’m quite impressed with it!

Cool, so the fans are now mounted in place but man these fans are noisy! The green ones in particular are quite loud. Not exactly sure how I’m going to fix that but as far as making decent airflow within the desk, it’s keeping things nice and cool. It’s looking more like I’m going to put an automated fan controller in just so the noise isn’t as constant. Anyway, here are a couple pics of the set-up at the moment. I’ve just got the power supply for the fans taped in place to show the unit working and that will be replaced with the control box when that’s ready. I should be getting some pics after the sun goes down tonight to see how well the LED’s actually like the inside of the desk. Maybe post a few pics tonight as well!

The back panel I think is just about done now and ready to be mounted to the desk. I got 4 new green LED’s and wired them up to the back of the fan so now I have a fully functional, fully lit fan board. All that’s left to do is wire it up to the on/off switch from the control box when that get’s ready and it’s done. However, I am thinking now that I’ve seen a few on eBay for cheap is to get a digital thermal/fan controller that I can mount into the control box as well to see what’s going on temp wise inside the desk. I could also have them set to automatically kick on when it gets to a certain temp and by the looks of it, it would be pretty easy to do! Something to think about anyway!
